I love listening to Waddell’s racing stories!!!!! Imagine the knowledge that man has!
the two door ford sedan is beautiful number 66
Champion
Mercy, this brings back memories. My father is Sail'n Sam Sommers #27 who drove for MC Anderson Racing. I was a kid but, Mr. LaRosa was very very cool to be around! He definitely had something in his presence everyone could pickup on. He was going to leave his mark on the world at whatever he chose to do in life. I can still see my Mom's eyes light up telling stories about Lou cutting the rug! She was quite impressed with Lou's dancing skills! Good times even though the ride didn't last long. It wasn't all racing, all of the time!
Plum wonderful!!
Love the roar of the flat head. The flat head was one of the best engines that Ford made.
Hot damn 👍
Thanks Bill. And another regular at The Stadium and area dirt tracks back in those days was "Red" Renegar driving My uncle's, "Bud" Freeman car #2, 2A and X-1.
Great talk thank you
if you can find a copy of that book it's over 1,000$ now
I’d love to have these guys in my shop these days.
LOVE THE ROAR OF THAT FLAT HEAD!
it gives me ideas for my 41 Cadillac.
MAN,,,that sounds good...
ready to haul moonshine
thanks for sharing
Their is gonna be one next Saturday April 17 same place
Put a stop watch on them. Yeah, that fast
great video, thank you
Good to see "Doc" Hudson the Fabulous Hudson Hornet in this race from when I was a baby.
Well I'm only at the caution of the first race. You make it look way too easy. You're obviously faster. It looks like your car is just handles way better. I've seen every one of those guys have handling issues in the corners. Your car seems very smooth and stable. The car sounds great and you're driving like a champ.
Rex White ,walking History. Thanks Bill ,this was special.
You said it,One of the greats in Stockcar Racing.
That is awesome, you should do an interview with Roadrunner Engineering in New Mexico he has written a couple books.
With men like these at Holman Moody and Henry Ford II, a winning American team that stands the test of time
lmao
Was the leader a teenager or was this a accident?
This is great! Flatheads Forever!!!
Sounds like a radical cam…!!
Ff
Mr Blair where can one purchase your cams?
Bill your wealth of knowledge, and you interviews are excellent.
I think that car is at Henry Ford Museum Dearborn Michigan
Ahhh, the grand old days!! Brings back memories of 74 & 47 at Norwood (MA) Arena. The family seats in turn one! Love it!
Thanks for sharing.
Did Waddell build the engines for the Ford GT40's for the LeMans winning cars in '66 and '67?
Ibought Waddell's Book in 1981.....Invaluable! information in their on making a reliable racing engine.

His engines won alot of races. Humble, man.
No fair, they didn't have wide tires like that back in the day. Pretty cool otherwise.
